In February, the Global Wind Energy Council released data for the previous year’s global wind generation. The Council’s findings showed that Canada was among the top 10 countries for the most megawatt hours (MWh) of wind power added to the country’s electricity grid in 2009. Canada added 950 MWh of wind capacity to the grid in 2009.
