Despite Rosedale’s position as one of the most exclusive neighbourhoods in the city, it is interesting how few great culinary options exist along the Yonge Street corridor in Rosedale. That being said there are some fun spots, great patios and one of the great Toronto restaurant gems which is just on the edge of Rosedale.
The Top 3 Rosedale Restaurants:
Terroni
Terroni’s Pizza took our city by storm many years ago – it has maintained a strong foothold with their Italian foods. We don’t know of any clients who have been disappointed with their pizza. It’s a sure hit. Especially if it’s a beautiful night and you are enjoying a drink on the rooftop. The views are incredible. Rosedale doesn’t have the density of other areas of Toronto, which means that the eye can see for miles without staring directly into a tower.
Sorrel
Sorrel – a local’s haunt for many years. Excellent service with an equally appointment wine list. This is where many Rosedalers visit as their second dining room. It’s not uncommon to see some of the same people enjoying dinner a few times a week. Rosedale is known for it’s Mediterranean and French foods, this is one of the finest demonstrations of this fare. Also, it may or not be our regular preferred option. (wink)
Scaramouche
Scaramouche Restaurant / Scaramouche Pasta Bar & Grill – Torontonians may have heard the name, Scaramouche, however not many know where it is. It is tucked into the lower stepped floor of The Benvenuto – it’s not technically in Rosedale, but it’s close enough! The building appears (from the outside) to be a 1970s apartment building. However, this couldn’t be farther from reality. It is ultra luxe inside thanks to a big revamp in 2008, setting up this condominium for prestige. Scaramouche has been Toronto’s finest dining for decades. Scaramouche is synonymous with luxury and fine dining. The families that frequent this restaurant(s) are the whos who of Toronto. The business deals that have been agreed while breaking break at Scaramouche of the stuff of Toronto legend, no hyperbole here – we know a few tales.
